OK. But I found on RH9 and FC3, as well as on Windows, that tcl/tk was preinstalled (or included with Python). The installer is going to download more stuff? Yuccch, I'd rather not need a network connection to do an install. Anyway, wxpython built ok on FC3. The problem was wxwidgets, which needed an obsolete version of GTK.
