wxPython looks good but I don't see anyone developing support for things like smartphones.
Also, what do you think about frameworks such as pyjamas? It lets you write in python and compiles everything down to Javascript so it can be used across the Web as well as on the desktop. -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
