never mind. just discovered that while "python3 -V" won't do it, executing it gives me: $ python3 Python 3.2a0 (py3k:77609, Jan 19 2010, 04:10:16) ... and it's that 77609 rev number i was after. rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
