Is there a specific library used for displaying up to date consoles in the same way top behaves?
From the last time a similar question was asked[1]:You might look at the sourcecode for "iotop"[2] which would make a good example (it's a "top"-like program written in Python, used for monitoring I/O transactions on a per-process basis)
