my emacs starts in no time at all, and consumes just under 6 megs with python- mode and a couple of moderately-sized python modules in memory. that's just over 1% of the available memory on this stock hardware. guess my emacs is broken. </F> -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
