You may want to take a look at www.websafe.com. If I can be so bold (since I'm one of the developers), we belive it is both simple and secure. We provide web, WebDAV, and HTTPS interfaces (I can provide you with sample Python code). At-rest encryption is AES. It is a hosted ASP-type application with annual subscriptions.
