Thank you so much for that reference link, it was very helpful. I now understand the difference in the modules - termios and fctnl. As far as PySerial goes - were trying to stick to built-in modules since cross compiling to an arm processor is being a little bit of a pain for us. Thank you for the suggestion though! Thanks!
