I suspect the trailing comma is the issue. Googling for "xlc enumerator
trailing comma" gave me
http://sources.redhat.com/ml/gdb/1999-q1/msg00136.html
which says "AIX 4.2.0.0 xlc gives an error for trailing commas in enum
declarations".
