Hi guys, I kindly ask you to stop this topic. Though I see the importance to have a good editor for programming, this is outside of the focus of a Python mailing list.
The open source world offers a lot of very good tools to edit source files, even for cross-platform development. Emacs is one of them, and IMHO could be set as an efficiency/proficiency standard. But if it does not fit to your fingers or working style, do not use it. I am open to personal debate outside of this list, Gabor
