I think it should have been marked as "won't fix" as it's a wart just like 1/2 == 0, but as there are many users of the current behaviour it's "impossible" to fix it in Python 2.x. Maybe in Python 3.0? -- Leo -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
