If you give it a good go, you will be amazed at how the text processing is so much better than Perl's. The same with the object orientation (what oop in Perl?? none... at least none worth mentioning :-) It's been said before by many Python users... Python allows newbies to program and wizards to be even more wizardly... or something to that effect.
