Actually, Eclipse is easy enough, if you don't want to use the whole complexity available and Pydev (the python plugin) is really good - but this is NOT a flame because wingware as a good reputation also SPE (but I haven't tried it necause i don't have wxPython), also PythonScript or Pyscripter as it is sometimes found, but that is windows only (I think).
