Hello, I'm installing Python 2.4.3 on my RedHat 9.0. I downloaded Python-2.4.3.tgz and would like to build a RPM package from it and then install from the RPM.
When I run "rpmbuild -ta Python-2.4.3.tgz", I got an error "error: %changelog not in descending chronological order". Could anybody tell me how to solve this? Also, what's the latest RPM installation for Python? Thanks. Wonder -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
