After modest investigation, it looks like a bug in Python's sockets, at least on WinXP. Try inserting the line after accept(): [...] newsock, name = sock.accept() newsock.settimeout(None) [...] -- --Bryan -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
