We are using Pyro, too, for our Multi-Agent System framework Spyse (http://spyse.sf.net). We support mobile agents, distributed environments, various threading models and a lot more.
Just ask if you are interested, but use the svn version, mot the 0.1 download. Our 1.0 release should be coming with a month.
