Antoine Pitrou <pit...@free.fr> added the comment: It should be noted that there are two possibilities for encrypted NNTP: - NNTPS, that is NNTP-over-SSL on port 563, as proposed here - plain NNTP with the STARTTLS capability as described in RFC 4642
