My code, which uses the same HTTPBasicAuthHandler instance for many requests to the same server, worked correctly with Python 2.6.2 and broke with 2.6.6. It would be great if zenyatta's patch to fix the regression was included in 2.6.7. Also, unfortunately NEWS.txt doesn't mention this change at all.
