Brian Curtin <cur...@acm.org> added the comment: I didn't actually want to use _sre.SRE_* but I'm not exactly sure how to hide it. It's more correct that way, but it takes this issue the wrong direction by exposing it.
I think it should be denoted as a class but with a generic name, if that's even possible.
