New submission from Benjamin VENELLE <kai...@gmail.com>: Hi,
I'm suggesting to declare a __bool__() function as an alias for is_set() in Event class from threading package. So Event objects could be used like booleans. Ex: I thought 'while(not event): do_something()' is much intuitive than 'while(not event.is_set()): do_something()' ---------- components: Library (Lib) messages: 103835 nosy: Kain94 severity: normal status: open title: [PATCH] threading.Event() type: feature request versions: Python 2.7, Python 3.1, Python 3.2, Python 3.3 _______________________________________ Python tracker <rep...@bugs.python.org> <http://bugs.python.org/issue8486> _______________________________________ _______________________________________________ Python-bugs-list mailing list Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-bugs-list/archive%40mail-archive.com
