Guido van Rossum <gu...@python.org> added the comment: I propose that we continue to see Fredrik as elementtree's "BDFL". If Fredrik wants the API in 3.2 to be changed to be backwards compatible with 2.x, we should do that, and damn the torpedoes (um, 3.1 compatibility).
I would do this ASAP; if you can, fix it *before* merging 1.3.
