In reply to the first comment here https://bugs.python.org/issue46070#msg408520 which affects several Kodi plugins, it seems that commenting out lines 80-84 in /usr/lib/python3.10/sqlite3/dbapi2.py "fixes" the bug in python 3.10.1.
