Yes that is what I meant. So I guess everything may be OK now. I did verify that the Tk demo can repeatedly open file save dialogs. When you press Command-S on a non-new edit window you do see the flash of the Save menu, so it would appear that a dialog was meant to appear, and there is no indication of why it did not.
