New submission from Roy Smith <r...@panix.com>:
See https://docs.python.org/3.7/library/bz2.html For bz2.open(), the section header says: bz2.open(filename, mode='r' ...) but the text says: The mode argument ... The default is 'rb'. As I understand it, 'r' and 'rb' actually do the same thing, but the docs should at least be consistent. ---------- components: Library (Lib) messages: 391245 nosy: roysmith priority: normal severity: normal status: open title: bz2.open() docs give conflicting defaults for mode versions: Python 3.7 _______________________________________ Python tracker <rep...@bugs.python.org> <https://bugs.python.org/issue43873> _______________________________________ _______________________________________________ Python-bugs-list mailing list Unsubscribe: https://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-bugs-list/archive%40mail-archive.com
