Christian Heimes <li...@cheimes.de> added the comment:
No, they are not required. RFC 3986 recommends upper case and says that upper and lower case percent encoding are equivalent: The uppercase hexadecimal digits 'A' through 'F' are equivalent to the lowercase digits 'a' through 'f', respectively. If two URIs differ only in the case of hexadecimal digits used in percent-encoded octets, they are equivalent. For consistency, URI producers and normalizers should use uppercase hexadecimal digits for all percent- encodings. ---------- _______________________________________ Python tracker <rep...@bugs.python.org> <https://bugs.python.org/issue40426> _______________________________________ _______________________________________________ Python-bugs-list mailing list Unsubscribe: https://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-bugs-list/archive%40mail-archive.com
