Martin v. Löwis <mar...@v.loewis.de> added the comment: IDLE is right to save the file as UTF-8; the file is invalid Python 3.0 code. In Python 3.0, the source encoding *is* UTF-8; nothing else is allowed unless you have an encoding declaration.
