New submission from Yury Selivanov <yseliva...@gmail.com>:
Having an asyncio enabled repr where a top-level "await" possible would be a huge productivity boost. Using asyncio.run() in a REPL is hard, and besides it spawns a new event loop on every call. The big idea: we want users to be able to do this: $ python -m asyncio >>> await asyncio.sleep(10, return='hello') # after 10 seconds hello ---------- components: asyncio messages: 343334 nosy: asvetlov, yselivanov priority: normal severity: normal status: open title: Implement asyncio repl versions: Python 3.8 _______________________________________ Python tracker <rep...@bugs.python.org> <https://bugs.python.org/issue37028> _______________________________________ _______________________________________________ Python-bugs-list mailing list Unsubscribe: https://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-bugs-list/archive%40mail-archive.com
