I also tested CFLAGS, just in case. Current behavior: $ git clean -fdx $ ./configure --with-pydebug $ make profile-opt CFLAGS="-O1" (...) gcc -pthread -c -Wno-unused-result -Wsign-compare -g -Og -Wall -O1 -std=c99 -Wextra -Wno-unused-result -Wno-unused-parameter -Wno-missing-field-initializers -Werror=implicit-function-declaration -fprofile-generate -I./Include/internal -I. -I./Include -DPy_BUILD_CORE -o Programs/python.o ./Programs/python.c (...) => CFLAGS is respected: I see -O1 in the command line. With PR 11164: $ git clean -fdx $ ./configure --with-pydebug $ make profile-opt CFLAGS="-O1" (...) gcc -pthread -c -Wno-unused-result -Wsign-compare -g -Og -Wall -O1 -std=c99 -Wextra -Wno-unused-result -Wno-unused-parameter -Wno-missing-field-initializers -Werror=implicit-function-declaration -fprofile-generate -I./Include/internal -I. -I./Include -DPy_BUILD_CORE -o Programs/python.o ./Programs/python.c (...) => CFLAGS is respected: I see -O1 in the command line. ---------- _______________________________________ Python tracker <rep...@bugs.python.org> <https://bugs.python.org/issue35499> _______________________________________ _______________________________________________ Python-bugs-list mailing list Unsubscribe: https://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-bugs-list/archive%40mail-archive.com
