Hi all, I'm going to close this issue for now. As I mentioned earlier (sorry Terry for not being clearer), I will be doing a comprehensive review of the docs and source code over the next few months. I will make recommendations as PRs and issues as I go through the review (see #msg325291). In the review, I will take into account PSF values, clarity in source code as well as testing of code changes, and best practices in documentation.
