Python 2.7 also has the io module: it may be good to backport the change to
Python 2.7 as well, no? I see the same bug in 2.7:
res = PyObject_CallMethodObjArgs(self, _PyIO_str_flush, NULL);
PyObject_SetAttrString(self, "__IOBase_closed", Py_True);
if (res == NULL) {
return NULL;
}
