Ned Deily added the comment: I don't have a good sense of the severity of this issue but it doesn't seem like it qualifies as release critical. On the other hand, the changes are isolated to typing and typing is more fluid than older, more established modules. If you think it should go in 3.6.0rc1, I won't object.
