Serhiy Storchaka added the comment: The advantage is using memcpy in case of combined table without deletions. This is common case of creating dict without pre-resizing: dict(list), dict(iterator), etc.
In future, when will be possible to reuse old entries array, this also could help in case of multiple modifications without significant size growth.
