It seems that to make the patch merge cleanly, I need to get the patch URL from this page, and to get the patch URL, I need to upload the patch, and to upload the patch, I need to produce the patch, and to produce a patch that merges cleanly, I need to get the patch URL. That sounds like a catch-22.
