Nick Coghlan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> added the comment: Unhashable types that implement an "I'm not hashable" __hash__ method will indeed require modification in 2.6 in order to avoid incorrectly passing an "isinstance(obj, collections.Hashable)" check (note that several of the mutable standard library types such as collections.deque are incorrectly detected as hashable in the current SVN trunk).
