New submission from Ismail s: The table of browser types in https://docs.python.org/2.7/library/webbrowser.html?highlight=webbrowser#webbrowser.register does not say that Google Chrome/Chromium is available on python2.7, even though it is (https://hg.python.org/cpython/file/2.7/Lib/webbrowser.py#l307).
