The convention when modifying installations is to specify the end-state that 
you're want, so unchecking something indicates that you want to remove it.

This could be made clearer, but it's probably a significant redesign of the UI. 
At the least we could specify in the text how it works, but in my experience 
most people don't read that anyway. (If you did read it, let me know as that's 
a good data point in favour of doing it.)
