STINNER Victor added the comment: Lib/test/test_tokenize.py contains a test for a Python script encoded to UTF-8 and starting with the UTF-8 BOM, Lib/test/tokenize_tests-utf8-coding-cookie-and-utf8-bom-sig.txt.
