Mark Roseman added the comment: I've put together a standalone tabs widget (mostly done) based on Tk canvas widget, that emulates the behaviour of TextMate's tabs. I was able to modify Roger's extension to use this widget. See attached screenshot newtabs.png (tabs area is fully functioning, bottom debug area is just UI).
