Eric Snow added the comment: The segfault happens at line 1888 of odictobject.c when it tries to Py_INCREF a NULL value. The problem is that the value that gets looked up for a presumably valid key is returned as NULL. So either the value is messed up, lookup is broken, or the wrong key is being used.
