David Edelsohn added the comment: A Python3 installation will not overwrite a Python2 installation because they are different major releases and not completely compatible. If Firefox needs Python2, you should build the latest, stable release of Python 2.7.
I previously used AIX workstations, but now access AIX servers remotely from Linux workstations.
