mattip added the comment: it seems the problem is that the bundled libffi version in Modules/_ctypes/libffi needs updating. The fix for aarch64 is a simple one-liner (tested on 2.7 in a aarch64 vm), for both HEAD and 2.7 (attached), but perhaps a better fix would be to update the bundled libffi?
