New submission from Al Sweigart:
IDLE cannot display the \b backspace character correctly. From IDLE's
interactive shell:
>>> print('hello\b\b\b\b\bHELLO')
hello◙◙◙◙◙HELLO
Whereas from cmd:
>>> print('hello\b\b\b\b\bHELLO')
HELLO
----------
