R. David Murray added the comment: Why do you think this is a Python problem? Can you reproduce it without using javascript? Given that it works with other browsers (ie: python has no problem responding to the queries themselves) and javascript is doing the query, I think it would be much more likely to be an IE javascript bug, and hard to see how it could be a Python bug.
Also, FYI we prefer people attach text files, not zip files, to the issue.
