Nick Coghlan added the comment: I suggest a pass through python-ideas first. python-ideas feedback tends to be more oriented towards "is this proposal as persuasive as it could be?", while python-dev is more aimed at the "is this a good idea or not?" yes/no question. (python-ideas feedback naturally includes some of the latter as well, but there's a lot more "I'm not sure I agree with the idea itself, but I agree it's worth discussing further" feedback than is common on python-dev)
