Brett Cannon added the comment: To prevent lesser-used OSs from being poorly serviced by Python we do not accept patches to add support for them. We suggest alternative OSs keep their own set of patches external to Python for ease of updating. We have mirrors on both bitbucket and github if you would like to maintain your patches on either site based off those mirrors.
