Christian Heimes added the comment: The C code in Python 3.4's _stat.c module already handle unsupported types correctly. I'm going to apply my patch to the Python implementation in 2.7, 3.3 and 3.4 soonish. Or is somebody against a fix of 2.7 and 3.3?
