Regarding the FAQ, it seems preferable to me to keep all questions in the FAQ, even if non-committers might not need to know the answer. It seems like it would be difficult to draw that line anyways, unless the question is about the Python commit process itself -- in which case it's probably not a generic Mercurial question anyways.
