Tim Golden added the comment: Well even in the original [working] version, the scope of this change was limited to glob.glob. os.listdir doesn't currently support any form of expansion (at least not on Windows) and nor does os.makedirs. I don't see any problem in restricting this change -- and any future extensions -- to glob.glob whose purpose is precisely to return one or more files matching a, possibly wildcard, pattern.
