Raymond Hettinger <raymond.hettin...@gmail.com> added the comment: FWIW, I think we would be better off if this patch were merged in soon. Waiting until later in the release cycle risks introducing bugs that we won't have time to notice or fix. An early merge lets more people exercise the code.
