Nicholas Cole <[email protected]> added the comment: I think that some platforms do not have wide character support, though I could be wrong. The FAQ here: http://invisible-island.net/ncurses/ncurses.faq.html has a list of those that do and those that don't, but I don't know how up to date it is.
