Category: Build Group: Python 2.2.3 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Con (shrodingersdog) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Build fails on XP Initial Comment: When trying to build the source: Modules/posixmodule.c fails to build. I'm running on XP SP1 using mingw32-make ver 3.80 Is there any known issues on XP? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Reinhold Birkenfeld (birkenfeld) Date: 2005-06-01 13:57 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1188172 Is this still happening with 2.3.5 or 2.4.1? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Con (shrodingersdog) Date: 2004-05-01 12:52 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=986333 Sorry, crash is not the right word. I've attached the output from make. Let me know if that helps or if you need other info. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Martin v. Löwis (loewis) Date: 2004-04-24 10:08 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=21627 What exactly does "it crashes" mean? Do you get a blue screen? Is your hard disk making a crashing sound? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Con (shrodingersdog) Date: 2004-04-23 11:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=986333 When I run make it crashes when it gets to Modules/posixmodule.c. This is compiling with the Ming / (Cygwin?) compiler though. I have recently tried with MSVC 6 which builds without any problems. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Martin v. Löwis (loewis) Date: 2004-03-30 00:35 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=21627 In what way precisely does it fail? It builds fine for me with VC.NET 2003, which is the official build environment for Python on XP. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=105470&aid=906405&group_id=5470 _______________________________________________ Python-bugs-list mailing list Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-bugs-list/archive%40mail-archive.com
